Sublet Inn · Chicago coliving
Instagram that let renters feel the house before they toured it.
Sublet Inn runs coliving houses in Chicago. I ran its Instagram and its listings on Facebook Marketplace, Craigslist and Coliving.com, so a renter could see the place and the people before they ever toured it.
The Instagram feed I ran

- Client
- Sublet Inn, where I worked in-house
- Sector
- Coliving, Chicago
- Built
- Instagram content, listings on four sites
- Status
- In-house role, 2024 to 2025
The problem
A room listing does not show what living there is like.
Coliving is a lifestyle as much as a room. Renters scrolling a listing see a bed and a price, and nothing about the house they would be joining.
What I did
Two pillars: the spaces, and the people in them.
Property posts showed the rooms and the shared spaces. Community posts showed what living with your housemates is like, so a renter could feel the house before they moved in.
The same content went out on the listing sites renters use: Facebook Marketplace, Craigslist and Coliving.com.
What changed
The houses filled up.
Occupancy went from around 60% to full while I ran the content. The paid campaign in the Ads section ran over the same stretch.
Scope and limits
Occupancy moves for more than one reason. Pricing, the listings and the Meta ads in the Ads section all ran at the same time, so the content contributed to the rise and I cannot separate its share.
